Music, dance and colour — cultural celebrations that share the richness of Nigerian heritage with the whole of Tees Valley.
Est. 2006 · Tees Valley (Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Darlington, Redcar, Stockton)
Promoting Nigerian culture and values, supporting one another, and building bridges of understanding across Tees Valley.
Who we are
NICOT was founded on a simple belief: that by sharing our culture with others, we promote greater understanding and appreciation of Nigerian people and their heritage. From a first meeting of five people in 2006, NICOT has grown into a recognised and respected organisation in the community.
Membership is open to every Nigerian, irrespective of religion. In 2022 we became the Nigerian Community Tees Valley, welcoming Nigerians living in Darlington and across the region.
